===========================================
The Human-Machine Network Data Science group under Prof. Hyun-chul Kim in Sangmyung University's Software Department is inviting applications for the positions of Master or PhD students. We aim to be a world-leading group in the area of mining and modeling data collected from large-scale networks of human beings and machines or AIs, such as the online games (MMOGs - online virtual worlds), on/offline Social Networks, WWW, Internet, etc. Problems we investigate are motivated by data collected from such large-scale networks, describing complex systems and interactions of humans and machines/AIs, from social, socio-economic, information, communication, networking, security, and game domains.
We are seeking highly motivated, ambitious and creative graduate students with background in computer science and engineering or related disciplines such as mathemathics or data science, to join our group in a quest to perform breakthrough research on approaches that apply a computational lens to advance our understanding of social structure, dynamics, and collective behavior of human beings, machines/AIs, and their hybrids/mixtures, based on which we design and build better or advanced human-machine social systems. More information on the supervisor Hyun-chul Kim is available at http://cosmos.smu.ac.kr/~hkim .
